In planning Northshore Christian Grammar School, we had an articulated vision of the role the school will play in the lives of its families and the broader community.
A school where the curriculum is supplemented with a variety of options so students can become the best version of themselves. A school with architect-designed buildings and state of the art learning spaces that inspire creativity and collaboration as well as provide a dose of fun.
A school with abundant grounds which awaken a sense of adventure and exploration in young minds as well as facilitate healthy, energetic bodies. A school where sport is a way of life and every student is a team player. Facilities, where community groups gather for sharing passions and knowledge from generation to generation.
We recruit the best Christian staff to instil the essential values of wisdom, truth, courage and community in every student entering the school gates. Our staff love what they do and are dedicated to your child beyond the traditional role of merely teaching because pastoral care at Northshore Christian Grammar School is integral to the school experience.
The culture of the school is a joyful one, based on Biblical foundations, where diversity and differences are celebrated and where to do your best is the norm, not the exception. Most importantly, we welcome families who believe in a real partnership with the school and value open communication about their child’s progress. Parents who understand the power of encouragement, as well as the unity of the community.
By God’s grace, we opened the doors to our dynamic school community in 2017, with classes from Kindergarten through to Year Six, and as of 2023 we have grown to a full Pre Kindergarten to Year 12 school.
Welcome to Northshore Christian Grammar School!

The Northshore Values
- Community
- Courage
- Truth
- Wisdom
Community
Much like the chicken and egg metaphor, where it’s not clear which of the two should be considered the cause or the effect, a similar relationship exists between Northshore and Community. The Northshore community is rich in support and diversity, and it is also grounded in love and compassion. God calls us to live in fellowship and to love one another, and to this end, Northshore is active in creating the environment and opportunities for the community to flourish.
Psalm 133:1
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!
Courage
Courage is not simply the absence of fear, but rather the ability to face fears and challenges. Courage is bravery, but it is also being persistent or strong. Courage is seeking and holding on to Truth. Courage is doing what is right, not what is popular or easy. Courage takes commitment, sacrifice and integrity.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Truth
This pursuit of ‘Truth’ is not only vital for intellectual growth, but also for the development of character and the ability to make informed decisions in an ethical and responsible manner. Truth seeking involves critical thinking, evidence-based reasoning, and a willingness to question assumptions and beliefs. Truth seekers must also have a willingness to consider different perspectives and evidence, even when it challenges our own beliefs.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Wisdom
Wisdom goes beyond the accumulation of knowledge or intelligence. It encompasses the ability to think critically, make wise judgments, and apply knowledge in meaningful and ethical ways. Wisdom involves understanding the complexity of situations, considering different and sometimes opposing perspectives and making ethical decisions. Wisdom requires a commitment to self-reflection, to lifelong learning, and a humble recognition of our limitations. By cultivating wisdom, we can better navigate the challenges of life, make sound judgments, and contribute positively to society.
James 3:17
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
- Psalm 1 (v1-6)
Our four school values represent four different characteristics which are each pivotal in the development of young people. They are also sequential in the development of character as small children grow into young adults.
Starting with the knowledge of truth about themselves and their world even in the youngest years of education. Students grow into wisdom as they begin to integrate knowledge with their experiences of the world and in particular their relationships. They move from what they know, to how and why they know.
Such wisdom will assist them to have courage. This courage builds their ability to make mistakes and learn from them, to persevere in difficult circumstances and to hold on to what is important and valuable about themselves. This is especially important in our ever-changing and challenging world.
As resilient young people, they then reach out to others in compassion as they take up roles as leaders, facilitators, mentors and guides to others in their families, their work-life, their communities and the world.

The Cross is at the centre of all we do. We prosper because we meditate on His word and are planted by His streams of living water.
The sailing motif hints at our connection to the water as well as our value of resilience as, like a sailing ship, we have been created to get back up when knocked over.
