Year 10 to 12 Taxidermy and Observational Drawing Excursion.
Our Year 10-12 Visual Art students had an inspiring day immersing themselves in the fascinating world of taxidermy while refining their observational drawing skills. The museum’s impressive collection of taxidermy specimens provided an exceptional opportunity for students to practice capturing texture, form, and proportion. From majestic birds to intricate natural displays, the exhibits allowed students to apply techniques learned in class in a real-world setting.
Throughout the day, students participated in guided drawing sessions led by Mrs Inder and Mrs Burtnyk. They explored new methods of observing detail and refining their skills, with many producing sketches that demonstrated both technical growth and artistic expression.
We are proud of the effort and enthusiasm our students showed throughout the excursion. We look forward to more creative adventures in the future!
