Outdoor Education: Snorkelling

Year 9 and 10 Students Dive into Snorkelling Adventure in Perth’s Coastal Waters.

Our Year 9 and 10 Outdoor Education students recently took to the water, refining their snorkelling skills in some of Perth’s most stunning coastal locations. After initial practice sessions at Quinns Beach, students confidently explored the vibrant marine life at Yanchep Lagoon and Mettams Pool.

With the support of instructors Mr Perrett and Mr Chisholm, along with the ever-enthusiastic Mr Swanby and our dedicated parent and staff helpers, students embraced the challenge of open-water snorkelling. The crystal-clear waters and perfect weather provided ideal conditions for students to refine their techniques, build confidence, and develop an appreciation for the ocean environment.

Throughout the experience, students demonstrated outstanding resilience, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Many overcame initial nerves, quickly adapting to the new environment and excelling in their abilities. From learning to navigate different water conditions to spotting a variety of marine life, students gained valuable skills while having a fantastic time.

A huge thank you to all staff and volunteers who made this experience possible. Well done to all students for their efforts and positive attitudes!
