We welcome children from four years of age and offer a stimulating and fun environment that develops social, emotional, physical, spiritual and cognitive potential and complements childrens’ natural curiosity, sense of fun and zest for learning.
Our Early Years program forms a balanced approach to teaching and learning. Play-based pedagogy informs, engages and empowers children, whilst explicit intentional teaching is used to focus on literacy, numeracy and scientific investigation skills.
Children are encouraged to foster positive relationships with their peers and teachers, and understand how precious they are to God and us. In these Early Learning years, we build a strong foundation from which children can grow to become confident and successful students.

Kindergarten
We are pleased to offer both a 3-day Kindergarten and a 5-day Kindergarten solution.
The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), developed by the WA School Curriculum and Standards Authority, describes childhood as a time of belonging, being and becoming.
Belonging is the basis for living a fulfilling life. Children feel they belong because of the relationships they have with their family, community, culture and place.
Being is about living here and now. Childhood is a special time in life and children need time to just ‘be’ – time to play, try new things and have fun.
Becoming is about the learning and development that young children experience. Children start to form their sense of identity from an early age, which shapes the type of adult they will become.
In Kindergarten, children’s knowledge is constructed by the integration of pre-literacy and pre-numeracy concepts that are obtained from a variety of related and repeated experiences. Skills are developed and refined through frequent opportunities to use them in different contexts. Attitudes and dispositions are developed through a thoughtful and responsive curriculum where children are encouraged to discuss ideas and reflect on experiences and situations.
Play-based learning is the way children learn about themselves and the world. We offer a secure and safe environment, including a nature play area with activity zones, where curiosity is encouraged, concepts are explored and discovery is celebrated.
Our staff know each child well and use their achievements, interests and dispositions to help build on their learning.
Pre-Primary
The Pre-primary experience introduces the Western Australian Curriculum which includes the following subject areas:
- English,
- Mathematics,
- Health and physical education,
- Humanities and social sciences,
- Technologies,
- The Arts.
These are supported by the development of general capabilities such as literacy, numeracy, ICT competence, critical and creative thinking, ethical behaviours, personal and social competence and Intercultural understanding.
The curriculum experiences are active, engaging, challenging and connected to children’s lives. Students are encouraged to make decisions and take risks in learning, show initiative, make choices, reflect, problem solve and persist.
In Kindergarten and Pre-primary indoor, outdoor and temporal environments are used to enrich learning and reflect effective early childhood pedagogy for children of this age.
Lower Primary
In Lower Primary School the curriculum commenced in Pre-Primary is supplemented with Science and History.
Our Baccalaureate approach means that different subjects are brought together and taught in a real world context. Linking curriculum subjects helps students to make connections, organise their knowledge and understand the relevance of the concept and ideas they are learning.
While gaining academic knowledge, students also work on developing their personal, social and study skills, continuously reflecting and looking for opportunities for self-improvement.
