Northshore's Commitment to Inquiry and Experiential Learning

Northshore is committed to inquiry and experiential learning. This approach provokes and engages them in their learning. As they explore, they begin exercising creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Students gain self-efficacy and, with this, further confidence by asking questions, exploring different perspectives, and seeking solutions to real-world problems.

Where possible, Northshore’s approach engages students in hands-on activities and immersive experiences that have real-world output. Whether it’s creating a digital media project on sustainable home gardens or conducting scientific experiments about metal vs plastic products in a beachside setting, students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. Through these projects, they develop essential skills such as research, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, preparing them for success in the real world.

If you visit our classrooms, you’ll see our learning in action. You will see our inquiries. You will see the students engaged, and their thinking will be visible. Northshore’s commitment to inquiry is explicit.
