Inter-house Swimming Carnival 2025

Inter-House Swimming Carnival Highlights!

On Monday, 17 March, students from Years 4 to 12 showcased their swimming skills at our Inter-House Swimming Carnival. This year, the event took on a competitive edge with the addition of timed 50m races, allowing participants to compete for age champion titles in four different strokes. The results from these races also played a crucial role in selecting the Inter-School teams for the SSWA (Secondary) and NIPSSA (Primary) Carnivals.

To ensure participation from students of all abilities, two exciting novelty events were introduced, including racing on a boogie board and duck diving for plastic chips. Spectators were thrilled during the lunch break by the entertaining ‘Beat the Fish’ Race, where our fastest swimmers from each year group competed in a relay format against Mr. Nathan Perret. This year, the students celebrated a well-deserved victory against ‘The Fish’!

The day was filled with vibrant House Spirit, evident in the colourful costumes and enthusiastic cheering from supporters. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated Year 12 students who served as timekeepers and to the many spectators who came out to cheer on our swimmers.

We extend our congratulations to Makuru, the winning house for this year’s carnival! Your spirit and dedication truly made this event a memorable one.
