Year 7 Drama Performance Brings Circus Fun to Our Kindy Students

In an exciting update from our Drama department, the Year 7 cohort took us on a journey through Comedy, Physical Theatre, and the dazzling world of Circus over this term. The group of enthusiastic students spent the term honing their skills in juggling, both with scarves and balls, as well as plate spinning.

The highlight of their learning journey was a lively performance, taking cues from the colourful *Hoopla Doopla* show. They transformed the Drama room into a makeshift circus, offering performances that drew smiles and applause, particularly from their special guests, the Kindergarten classes. By inviting the younger students, the Year 7 performers provided a memorable event that connected different age groups within our school through shared moments of joy and surprise.

Opting to personify characters from *Hoopla Doopla*, the Year 7 students demonstrated storytelling through physical feats of tumbling, juggling, and acrobatics, wrapped in tales of mischief and excitement.

This event underscores the importance of performing arts in schooling, serving as a lively platform for students to express emerging talents while learning teamwork, creativity, and communication skills. It showcased the dedication of our students and their teachers, illustrating how learning can be as fun as it is beneficial.

We look forward to more creative and engaging performances in the future.
